I just decided to start using Outlook (Office 2010) to access my email accounts. I have used Outlook with Comcast email for many years, so none of it is new to me. I discussed the issue with Comcast, but they indicate as long as I'm receiving them in other email clients (LiveMail and BlackBerry), and they remain on the server for other clients, like Outlook, there is nothing else they can do. It's almost like the messages are being siphoned off to a hidden place, but I cannot find

Setup goes fine, but still nothing in myĪs I'm sitting here now, I see the periodic Outlook pop-up windows of new message headers and the notice that I have new mail in my Inbox, but still nothing. I uninstalled Outlook completely, and then reinstalled with a new setup of my Comcast account. I deleted all of my rules, still no change.

I uninstalled all of my OutlookĪdd-Ins, like for MindManager and Adobe, still no change. I uninstalled Norton 360, even though I'm not using its SPAM filter. I ran setup for MS Office 2010 and ran the Repair function. I ran Microsoft's Inbox Repair Tool, but nothing changed. That has always worked fine (for years), and all of the missing messages are still I have my mailbox settings on the Comcast server to keep messages on the server, so I can get my messages in both Outlook and the BlackBerry. I also get all of my messages on my BlackBerry just fine, and if I setup my Comcast account under Windows Live Mail, I also get all of my messages When I login to the Comcast web site, I can see all of my messages there in the Inbox, all still unread. I checked the Junk Mail Folder, but nothing there either. But, there are no messages in the Inbox Folder.

I looked at the message properties, and they all indicated they were in the Inbox Folder. I even clicked on some of those pop-up headers and displayed the complete messages. At the end of the Sync, I also see the message that I have "New messages in my Inbox", but they are not there. Yet, when I sync up with the Comcast email server, I see the progress bar with the number of messages and overall size being processed, and the little pop-up window displaysĪll the headers of the messages processed. But, since that date, I am not seeing any new email in my Inbox,Īnd I also don't see any messages in my Sent Mail folder after I send some.

As expected, I had to resync Outlook with the Comcast email server and that all went fine.
